This year, we were especially proud to launch two new Education for Employment projects.
- In September, we announced the official launch of our new Education for Employment (EFE) Program – Al-Najah Tunisia. The initiative contributes to the economic empowerment of young graduates from Tunisia’s network of Institutions of Higher Technical Education (ISET – Institutions supérieures d’études technologiques), particularly young women, living in Tunisia’s most underprivileged regions. This will help to lower the country’s unemployment rate and to combat the feminisation of poverty.
- In February we celebrated the official launch of the new Skills to Access the Green Economy (SAGE) program. The new project builds on the success of the previous CARICOM Education for Employment Program and supports demand-driven technical and vocational education and training in key economic sectors vulnerable to the impacts of climate change in Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, and St. Lucia.
